Bright and fun, Zentangle

I'm loving the challenge of being creative everyday. I have so many ideas for things to do when I get back to Australia and back to my lovely craft room.
I've only got minimal craft stuff with me over here in the UK.
This is today's effort- I was doodling while waiting for my brother to arrive

Makes my heart sing

It's been a hard day today. I'm really missing my little man and generally just a rough day. It's days like these usually I do nothing but forced by the challenger my husband and I are doing it meant I had to do an index card.
Imdecided to try and use it to cheer myself up- bright fun colours. I've used collage, dylusions and dylusion stamps and then my paint pens to decorate.

making this and the finished product really cheered me up. Thank goodness for art in my life.

Love a city scheme

I wanted to use some of the stamps I have been saving for my trip away.
I started with covering the card with book pages. I then used archival ink and my Tim Holtz stamps to create a city scheme. I then started doodling with my fine nib pens.
The ICADs are giving me an opportunity to try new things. They are only 3" x 5" so they aren't too daunting.

My first attempt at Zentangle...

I've been looking at a number of Zentangle designs recently. I didn't realise how long it would take to do a relatively small piece- but it was certainly worth it. I'm really pleased with my first attempt.

ICAD - create and inspire everyday

The ICAD challenge is working. I'm creating something everyday. It may not be my best work but I love that it's something small and I'm using lots of new ideas and techniques and just trying them out.
