Art journalling with Kass Hall

Last week I went to the papercraft expo in Melbourne and I attended an art journalling class with Kass Hall. I really enjoyed the class and it has motivated me to try more art journalling. Have a look at my page I completed in class

When quick is all you have

Hey guys!
It's Holly here with a couple of quick layouts for Crafters Cupboard
Have a look at the two pages I created from 4 sheets of patterned paper and two sheets of card stock. ( funnily I didn't expect to make more than one layout and and took one photo away with me) !!
In addition I took a paper trimmer, double sided tape, glue, two distress Inks, some brads,  two embellishments and a couple of word titles.

Products used:
1x sheet Bo Bunny serenity Fans
1x sheet of Bo Bunny serenity Love
1x Sheet of Bo Bunny Serenity Tomoko
1x Sheet of Bo Bunny Serenity Luck
1x sheet of Kaisercard Vanila Weave
2x globes from the Prima Junkyard Findings vintage trinkets typo bulbs #1
A couple of words from 7gypsies chip tags words
A large handful of small red brads.
1x small manilla tag.

If you would like the full nest ructions how I made these 2 pages please visit the crafters cupboard blog.

It goes to show from a few bits and pieces and not even having your full stash to hand impressive layouts can be made away from home.

Until next time happy scrapping!

A wedding gift for friends- love canvas

I made this canvas a few weeks ago for a couple of friends who were getting married. I started off with a 10"x12" canvas and used 7 gypsies tissue paper and modge lodge ripped into pieces to create a collage effect all over the canvas. I then cut an irregular heart out of chipboard and covered it with calico that I frayed all round the edges. I used distress stain, red acrylic paint and red treasure gold to make a distressed heart. I then stuck this onto the canvas using magic mount to give a layered effect.
It then used black rope and a gold metal key and tied this at the front and glued the rope round the back.
This is perfect as a wedding, engagement, anniversary gift or even a valentines gift
