Loved, a gift for a special lady

I had an evening of crafting ahead. I wanted to make something that helped me feel better not just creating for the sake of it. I flicked through Pinterest and saw something that caught my eye. As soon as I got started it came together within the evening. As I started with the colour and the girl I knew who it was a gift for. My gorgeous friend Dani I was meeting for breakfast the following day.
Here's my step by step:

Creating heart

I saw this beautiful canvas on Pinterest that I loved the style and design. You can see their blog address on the photo.
This was my take on the design step by step.

I really enjoyed making this canvas. It's quite different to the original design I saw but I love it. Happy crafting everyone.

A wedding gift for friends- love canvas

I made this canvas a few weeks ago for a couple of friends who were getting married. I started off with a 10"x12" canvas and used 7 gypsies tissue paper and modge lodge ripped into pieces to create a collage effect all over the canvas. I then cut an irregular heart out of chipboard and covered it with calico that I frayed all round the edges. I used distress stain, red acrylic paint and red treasure gold to make a distressed heart. I then stuck this onto the canvas using magic mount to give a layered effect.
It then used black rope and a gold metal key and tied this at the front and glued the rope round the back.
This is perfect as a wedding, engagement, anniversary gift or even a valentines gift
